Morocco didn’t seem like the obvious honeymoon destination when Keith first announced it – but it was perfect in every way. We booked online with 3 things in mind – We wanted somewhere really different but where we still felt safe and relaxed. We wanted something in our budget but luxurious enough to feel truly pampered. And finally we wanted somewhere close to home because being a second marriage we only had a week away from the kids and didn’t want to waste time in flying long haul. Our driver picked us up from the airport and as soon as we saw him all our concerns about quite what to expect melted away. From the very beginning to the very end he looked after us and nothing but nothing was too much trouble and he helped us make memories which we will never ever forget. Thank you KarimJulie and Keith Shropshire, UK
This was our third trip to Morocco but our first touring the whole country. We thought we already knew the country but Majestic Morocco Tours opened up a whole new world for us. We are a retired but fairly fit couple and although some companies told us the trip we had designed was too gruelling, with just a few gentle suggestions Linda made it very do-able. We moved from North West to North seeing all the imperial cities – wow!!! Then all the way down to the desert where we fulfilled the dream of a lifetime and rode camels into the sand dunes at sunset. Majestic Morocco suggested that we should splurge a little on the desert luxury camp and save money on some budget options elsewhere – “Perfect Thank you” After 2 nights at the camp (one of which we slept under the stars and we are in our 70’s) we were tired but our driver was very sensitive to this and made a few last minute changes to the programme while we crossed Morocco from east to west and ended with a couple of days R&R on the coast. Great team doing a great job – Shukran!!!Bob and Mary Wisconsin, USA
We are 4 girls with a week off work and wanted to have some sun, sea and chill out time. Marrakech is buzzing and we didn’t really want to leave but when we got to Essaouria we were so glad. We told Majestic Morocco Tours that we didn’t surf but Brahim persuaded us to try and set up a last minute program of surfing lessons. Thanks mate, I am going to carry on learning now I’m home because it was soooooo much fun. Brahim was brilliant actually carrying everything for all 4 of us, reminding us to check if we had everything (and always one of us had forgotten) and he never even seemed slightly annoyed about going back. He even didn’t seem annoyed when all four of us were singing in the car. The best bit was definitely trying the hammam – again their suggestion not ours. Thank you a million times over guys we will definitely be back.Taylor- Ann New Zealand
My mum had decided Morocco was going to be our next holiday destination. Initially I didn’t know much about the country but on the journey through Morocco I made it my aim to become educated on the insides of Morocco. Morocco is one of the most spiritual and natural places to be we still stayed in places that had amazing food. I slept through the journey and when I had enough of sightseeing I was happy that the car was so comfortable and I will return again very soon.James Hampshire UK
Our driver took our trip from 'amazing' to 'outstanding'! Right from the start, we felt safe with him. With the patience of a saint, he stopped whenever we needed to - bless him. He was always reliable, cheerful and helpful. He gave us Moroccan names for our adventure, which caused much laughter within our vehicle - our daily language lessons were a highlight on each journey...Maxine Winchester UK
Shirley & GomezIts has been a great trip to Marrakech as you said, thoroughly enjoyed it.The pick up from the airport was on time and the driver who took us around for the day trips Abdou Rahim was very helpful and also the Riads you booked for us were very good. But the best of the lot was Riad Gallery 49 where we spent the first 2 nights, brilliant service and care from all of them, could not find a fault even if we wanted to.It was a small one with just 3 rooms but our room was great. Also Shirley had the Hammam massage at this Riad on monday and she loved it and I have to say it cost us only 40 or 45 euros, much cheaper than the other Riads. We will definately plan another trip to Morocco, probably to Agadir and other places next time and will get in touch with you then. Thanks again for all your help and look forward to you speak to you soon.
2,500 km in ten days was asking a lot, but we wanted to see a lot - and we did!
The whole thing went like a dream. The arrangements were done smoothly and without fuss, and from stepping off the plane to getting back on it again we were looked after quite beautifully.
In my experience, the thing that one remembers more than anything about this type of trip are the people you are with, and those you meet along the way. All the Moroccans we came across were unfailingly pleasant and helpful, but the star of the show was undoubtedly Karim.
Not only did he drive us quite beautifully, nothing was too much trouble. At the same time he was also immensely knowledgeable, and tremendous company. 10 days is a long time to spend in a car with someone you don't know, but we really didn't need to worry on that score. We came back feeling we had genuinely made a friend (to the point that I very much hope to do a Saharan walking holiday with him as my guide).
We talked about so much, and over such a wide range of topics, that my wife and I both felt we gained a deeper understanding of Morocco, its culture, religion and people than we could possibly have got by travelling on our own - and that's what really makes a holiday.
Majestic Morocco have put together a wonderful mix of small, family run, riads, and we stayed in these the whole way round. Some were outstanding, most were good, all were adequate. All were intimate and personal, none felt anonymous or international, and that was exactly what we were looking for.
As for the country? Well, I can only recommend you go and find out for yourself. For my part, I can't wait to go back.
